I also drew inspiration from artist Hye Yeon Nam , in her work entitled Self Portrait .  I wanted to incorporate the idea of not fitting in with representations of technology.
For implementation, I used a Kinect as well as OpenNI and Particle physics libraries and examples, coded within  Processing . 
As soon as the interactor is picked up by the Kinect, their silhouette is shown on the screen as rain begins to fall. 
When the interactor puts their hands together, an umbrella appears, shielding them from the rain. 
When the interactor picks up an umbrella handle connected to the Makey Makey , their silhouette turns black, and as wind starts to blow rain begins to fill up the screen, until the user is completely gone. However if the user releases the handle,
Future design goals include having multiple interactors on the screen together, with their silhouettes being affected differently based on what objects they are holding.
